Meet Our Principal

Phil Mutanho, MSc, ACIS, CPA, CGA
Phil has over 20 years experience working in private sector at senior level for manufacturing, retail, high tech, oil and gas, not-for –profit, construction, transportation and pharmaceutical companies in North America. Phil found Mutanho Professional Corporation (MPC) in 2010 after successfully creating Carolina Accounting and Tax Services LLC in 2003 in North Carolina which is still operational as satellite office for our US clients in the US market.

He graduated with a Master of Science in Accounting degree from Strayer University in 2006, he became an associate member of Institute of Chartered Secretaries (ICSA) in 2001 after completing the education requirements which comprised of successfully passing 16 professional subjects that include Auditing, Corporate governance, Finance, Taxation, Management accounting and Financial accounting. Phil is now a Certified General Accountant in Alberta (CGA) and a registered member of the Chartered Professional Accountants Association of Alberta (CPA). He completed one of the most prestigious In-depth tax course in Canada offered by Chartered Professional Accountants Canada. He is also enrolled as a Certified Public Accountant (US CPA) student with the state of New Mexico. His main focus is cross border taxation and accounting including tax planning, compliance in both US and Canada. He is also involved in assurance services and business advisory to help small and medium sized enterprises.
